I received two products from this line, which consisted of a leave-in and a custard.

Aloe Hibiscus Leave-in Conditioner and Detangler:

Price & Size: 8 fl. oz. for $15 (I personally think the price is just right knowing that this leave-in is all natural & a little goes a long way)

Packaging:

The packaging displayed on the website is the same as the custard but the one I received was a push-top that I had to squeeze to get the product out. I actually like the push-top because it’s convenient and I could control the amount I squeeze out.

Texture:

This product was a lotion but what I liked was that it was not super thick! It’s lightweight and has a good amount of slip.

Smell: The smell of this is SO AMAZING! It smells like the Shea Moisture Curl & Style milk but better! it’s a tropical fruity smell and I got compliments on how good my hair was smelling the whole time I had this in my hair.

Ingredients: Distilled Water, Aloe Vera Juice, Coconut Oil, Avocado Oil, Castor Seed Oil, Hyaluronic Acid, Panthenol-DL (Pro Vitamin B5), Cetyl alcohol, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Hibiscus Extract, Nettle Extract, Horsetail Extract, Marshmallow Root Extract, Silver Dihydrogen Citrate, Potassium Sorbate, Natural Fragrances.

(The first five ingredients are GREAT and all contribute to moisture)

Claims on website: This ultra moisturizing leave-in conditioner moisturizes, strengthens and restore shine which makes Aloe Hibiscus Leave-in Conditioner & Detangler a triple threat to parched tresses. The water and aloe Vera juice moisturizes, the panthenol along with the rich oils of avocado and coconut help to strengthen the hair while the ayurvedic herbal blend of hibiscus and marshmallow root not only provides slip for pesky knots but they help to make the hair soft, supple and sleek. Product can also be used as a heat protectant as well as a detangler.

(The heat protectant comes in with all the heavy oils listed in the ingredients. It seals and protects your hair. Although these oils are heavy, they did not weigh my hair down.)

Overall: I absolutely love this leave-in! I applied it on soaking wet hair and I loved how soft my hair felt. I sectioned my hair into four and applied a dime size amount on each section. A little goes a long way with this for my fine hair. The slip was great! My hair detangled easily. I applied this before applying the custard to ensure my hair would be moisturized. The only downside was how long my hair took to dry with this in it. My hair took about 5 hours to air-dry but the results were soft and shiny. I do plan to incorporate this leave-in into my straightening routine if I ever decide to blow-dry my hair &straighten it.

Coconut Avocado Curl Defining Custard:

Price & Size:  8oz for $15 (This is also a good deal because of the ingredients and a little goes a long way because this is a custard).

Packaging:

The packaging is okay because it’s easy to dispense but the downside is that it’s not travel friendly like the push top cap.

Texture:

wpid-20150401_191842.jpg

The texture is slimy and runny. When applied on top of the leave-in, it felt smooth and easy to apply.

Smell: This smells like the pink Starburst candy! It smells super good!

Ingredients:Distilled Water, Methylcellulose, Hydrolyzed Oats, Avocado Oil, Coconut Oil, Panthenol-DL (Pro Vitamin B5), Citric Acid, Silver Dihydrogen Citrate, Potassium Sorbate, Natural Fragrance.

(I love how the ingredients are simple and straight to the point).

Claims on website: This natural styling custard will leave your curls moisturized, defined and oh so shiny. The panthenol along with the rich oils of avocado and coconut help to strengthen the hair. This curl defining custard provides a light hold without leaving your hair dry or crunchy. It is also great to sleek down edges.

Overall: This gel was weird to me at first because of the texture. I applied the leave in and while my hair was still wet, I applied this after. I applied a dime size amount of this to each of the four sections and it was a bit heavy for my hair. After 5 hours of air-drying, my hair dried soft and shiny but the second day, it kind of felt weighed down. I didn’t really like this custard for my fine hair as much as I did for the leave in. I tried using less of this and it did help with giving me volume and light-weight hair. I used it for a wash-n-go and it dried crunchy but I scrunched out the crunch and it no longer was crunchy. I got tons of shrinkage with this product causing my hair to tangle easily. I suggest using a small amount of this product to make it work. Overall, I did like it but I didn’t fall in love with this custard.

Results using less of the custard (as you can see there is more volume in this picture rather than the pictures displayed above this)
