Graced By Nature (entire line REVIEW)

Roxanne is the owner of Graced by Nature & these products are based in Canada. Roxanne was kind enough to send me her entire line of products to review and I was pretty impressed at her hand-made organic products since she does it all by herself! All of Graced By Nature products are silicone-free, sulfate-free, and paraben-free.

Peppermint & Coconut Milk Scalp Renewing Shampoo (Kinky, Coily, Curly and Relaxed Hair formula):

Price & Size: $12 for an 8oz.

Packaging: this shampoo is a push top bottle but I dont like the bottle because it’s super hard to squeeze out the product.

Texture: This shampoo was runny and almost felt like nothing was going on my hair.

Smell: this shampoo has a STRONG peppermint smell! I don’t like the smell but it doesn’t linger after your hair dries.

Ingredients: Water, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil & Milk, Potassium Hydroxide,Olea Europea (Olive) Oil, Cannibis Sativa (Hempseed) Oil, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Oil, Mentha Arvensis Extract, Mentha Peperita (Peppermint) Oil, Honey, Glycerin, Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol, Xanthan Guar, Citric Acid, Tocopherol Acetate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil

Overall: Roxanne sent me the Kinky, Coily, Curly and Relaxed Hair formula at first and there are two different formulas. The second formula is for naturally oily prone hair. I tried the Kinky, Coily, Curly and Relaxed Hair formula and it didn’t sud up. I am not used to this because the suds usually make me feel like I am cleaning my hair. This formula was HORRIBLE on my hair. It made it greasy and my scalp was itchy. Usually with peppermint shampoos my scalp feels tingly but not with this. It was like water and oil. My hair had the WORST film. I emailed Roxanne about this problem and she said she would send me the other formula for oily hair. This formula would work best with thick hair because thick hair doesn’t get weighed down as easily as thin hair.

Peppermint & Coconut Milk Scalp Renewing Shampoo (Naturally Oily-Prone Hair formula):

This shampoo looks exactly the same as the other formula but it is for oily hair. I don’t have oily hair by any means but my hair is fine and easily weighed down. Everything is the same as the other formula (texture, smell, packaging, size, and price). The only thing difference is that the ingredients are different.

Ingredients include: Water, Sodium Laurel Sulfoacetate, cocomidopropyl betaine, sodium cocoyl isethionate, cocos nucifera (coconut) oil &milk,  behentrimonium methosulfate (rapeseed) oil and cetearyl alcohol, cetyl alcohol, panthenol (pro-vitamin B5), Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Mentha Peperita (peppermint) oil, honey, glycerin, phenoxyethanol, caprylyl glycol, sorbic acid, aloe barbadensis (aloe) leaf juice, melaleuca alternifolia (tea tree) oil, citric acid, glycol distearate, tocopherol acetate, carthamus tinctorius (safflower seed) oil.

(I literally typed each ingredient directly from the bottle since it was not on the site).

Overall: I didn’t get any tingling in my scalp with this formula either, but it did sud up a little more. This formula worked okay on my hair and it did the job. I just wish it was thicker and not so runny. I used almost half of the bottle with one use. I didn’t feel like my hair was super clean but I was glad it didn’t leave that awful film like the other formula. It wasn’t my favorite shampoo ever but it worked.

Vanilla Cream Nourishing Conditioner:

Price & Size: $12 for an 8oz.

Packaging: the packaging on the conditioner had a pump and it worked great for this because it’s so thick.

Texture: Creamy & thick.

Smell: this smells SUPER good. I love anything that smells like vanilla so it was a winner for me. It smells just like vanilla bean.

Ingredients: Water, Glycol Distearate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil,Jamaican Black Castor Oil, Behentrimonium Sulfate (Rapeseed) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Honey, Panthenol, (Pro-Vitamin B5), Cetrimonium Chloride, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol, Glycerin, Tocopherol Acetate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Fragrance

(It has a list of amazing ingredients so I was super excited to try this one!)

Overall: This conditioner was great! It was thick and that’s how I like conditioners to be. It went on smooth but I had to use A LOT of this. It moisturized my hair and I kept it on for 5 minutes. I washed it off and my hair felt soft & silky. it did lack slip, though. It was hard to detangle my hair for that reason.

Vanilla Cream Whipped Butter Deep Conditoner:

Price & Size: $12 for an 8oz.

Packaging: the packaging was a jar, which is normal for many deep conditioners.

Texture:this texture is creamy but runny.

Smell: this smells just like the conditioner which I love.

Ingredients: Water, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Vitis Vinifera (Grapeseed) Oil, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Rapeseedd) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Honey, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Phenoxylethanol and Caprylyl Glycol,Glycerin, Tocopherol Acetate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Fragrance

Overall: The deep conditioner wasn’t much of a deep conditioner on my low porosity hair. It was just sitting on top of my hair and didn’t penetrate like the conditioner. Shea Butter is the second ingredient and my hair hates shea butter. The conditioner was more of a deep conditioner to me than this. I like deep conditioners to be thick and this wasn’t a good texture.

Rating: 1/5 (1 for the smell) lol

Vanilla Cream Moisture Replenishing Leave-in Conditioner:

Price & Size: $12 for an 8oz.

Packaging: the packaging on the leave in was like the Kinky Curly Knot Today but it was super hard to squeeze out the push top.

Texture:this texture is SUPER thick and oily.

Smell: this smells like vanilla bean just like the conditioner & deep conditioners.

Ingredients:  Water, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Marshmallow Root Extract,  Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Cetrimonium Chloride, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Rapeseed) Oil, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Vitis Vinifera (Grapeseed) Oil,  Cetearyl Alcohol, Barbadensis (ALoe) Leaf Juice, Glycerin,  Glycol Distearate, Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol, Tocopherol Acetate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Fragrance

Overall: This leave in was too thick for my fine hair. I applied it to soaking wet hair and it felt soft. I gave this a try 3 times and each time, my hair was left weighed down. I tried it with gels at first but even when I used it alone, it made my hair have a film. It did give me definition but my hair felt sticky.

Vanilla Cream Oatmeal & Brown Sugar Body Wash:

Price & Size: $12 for an 8oz.

Packaging: the packaging was a push top but it was easy to squeeze out unlike the others.

Texture:this texture is runny and creamy.

Smell: this smells like vanilla and leaves your body smelling like that, also.

Ingredients:  Water, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Sodium Lauryl Sulfoacetate, Sodium Cocoyl Isethionate, Barbadensis (ALoe) Leaf Juice, Glycerin, Oatmeal Extract, Brown Sugar, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (Rapeseed) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocos Nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Hydrolyzed Oat Protein, Glycol Distearate, Panthenol(Pro-Vitamin B5), Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl Glycol, Simmondsia Chisensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Tocopherol Acetate, Carthamus Tinctorius (Safflower) Seed Oil, Fragrance

Overall: I LOVE this body wash. It was my favorite from the entire line and it makes my body so smooth. A little goes a long way with this and it felt refreshing when I rubbed it on my body. I used a loofah and it did have some suds. It made my body feel clean and almost like I didn’t need lotion after because it was so moisturizing. If you are thinking about trying anything from this line, you MUST order this first because you NEED it in your shower regimen!

Rating: 10/5! (I know! I know! that’s not possible but that’s how good it was!)

Moisturizing Body Lotion:

Price & Size: $12 for an 8oz.

Packaging: the packaging was a push top and it is SO HARD to squeeze out!

Texture:this texture is thick and creamy.

Smell: this smells like vanilla and berries mixed. It is a calming scent. (there is two scents: Vanilla or Butter Berry) I received the butter berry.

Ingredients: Water, Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis (Sweet Almond) Oil, Jamaican Black Castor Oil,  Ricinus Communis (Castor) Seed Oil, Behentrimonium Methosulfate (rapeseed) Oil, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocos Nucifera (coconut) Oil, Theobroma (cocoa) Seed Butter, Stearic Acid, Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B5), Cetrimonium Chloride, Barbadensis (Aloe) Leaf Juice, Citric Acid, Phenoxyethanol and Caprylyl  Glycol, Tocopherol Acetate, Fragrance

Overall: I use this when I get out the shower. It is best applied to dry skin so I waited about 20 min so my body is fully dry. This is like a body butter because it’s super thick! It moisturizes well and leaves a pleasant scent on your skin. A little goes a long way with this lotion.

Rating: 4/5
